“Mom are you sick?”

AsthmaMan asked if we were going anywhere this morning, and when I responded “no”, he asked, “Mom are you sick?”

He looked shocked at the response, he left the room and came back  minute or two later and looked at me strangely.

In fairness, I was still getting ready and in pjs at 8:14am on a weekday. I am running behind this morning.

The Princess woke up SCREAMING when it was still dark and I had to hide out in her room until she was ok.

And it’s the last day of school so Harry Potter gets out early (I’m crying on the inside).

I thought because we have a plethora (yes there are that many) of activities this afternoon that this morning would be a great time to get some laundry done, make a path through Harry Potter’s room, and clean the last bathroom.

After AsthmaMan asked me if I was sick and then looked shocked that we were staying home, I had to take a look at the calendar. No wonder he was shocked- we have  had a fun activity, errands, or school every morning for the last… well I only looked through April and May so for at least the last two months.

We don’t do “at home mornings”.

We do parks, school,  gymnastics, grocery stores, story time, Chick-fil-A, and Costco.

We are usually out of the house by 9:15am.

I thought he didn’t like this but maybe I was wrong , or maybe I’ve just trained him to think we should be busy.

Either way, on Monday morning he is going to be a little bit disappointed… oh wait not he won’t, I think we have activities scheduled every morning next week.
